Wearable Arts

On September 27th, Woolston School held its own Wearable Arts Show.

Each class created five outfits, one for each of the categories - Simply Red, The World We Live In, Reach for the Stars, Glitz & Glamour and Myths & Legends.

The students presented a variety of creations designed and constructed by tamariki ranging in age from 5 years to 12 years.

The students worked in groups to design their creations from readily found materials and experimented with various ways to join these materials; then created their designs based on drawings and plans they had made.

We had a matinee in the afternoon followed by an evening performance.
