England Rugby Team Visits Woolston School

Several members of the England Rugby team, including coach Martin Johnson and captain Lewis Moody, visited Woolston School yesterday afternoon.

Firstly we welcomed them with a pōwhiri.

Lewis Moody speaks on behalf of his team.

After the pōwhiri the team members talked with the pupils, then did some rugby drills with the whole school.

Martin Johnson shakes hands with eager students.

Following the rugby drills, some of the tamariki asked questions of the team members and we all sung the English National Anthem.

Before they left some of their fans got autographs and had their photos taken.

Shontayne Hape was a popular team member

Scribe Visits Woolston School

On Tuesday, August 30th, Scribe visited us at Woolston School.
He talked about having a dream, and pursuing that dream to achieve what you believe you can do.
While still at high school, Scribe dreamed of being a rapper, and although his teachers laughed, he pursued his dream and achieved it, becoming one of New Zealand's most successful artists.
His message is a great example of "dream it, believe it, achieve it" - our school vision.

Scribe also talked to the Woolston Students about not getting into gambling, including the Pokies, betting on the races, and playing Lotto.
