Trees Bulldozed!

It looks very bare and boring without the trees.
We hope they plant some more to make it look better.

It is sad that the trees by the new dental clinic got pushed down because they were in the wayfor their new car park. 

A man knocked it down with his digger.

I felt sad because the trees were special. It looks bad without the trees.

I hope some trees will get planted so we can see them grow.

Hat Parade

The junior school, Team Piwakawaka, had a hat parade on Tuesday, November 9^th because it was Cup Day.

Adults go to the races dressed up fancy. Lots of them wear hats.

We made our hats out of paper and cardboard. We got a long strip of cardboard and wrapped it around the person’s head and stapled it. Then we stapled on lots of other brightly coloured paper.

When we had finished decorating our hats we went to the Hat Parade and each class paraded with their hats. It was very fun. We got to take our hats home after school so we could show our parents.
