Mitchell is a Star!
Mitchell was placed 3rd in the 10 Year Old Boys High Jump. Here are a few of the photos showing him on his way to success.
Canterbury Athletics Sports
On Tuesday, November 30th, a team of 6 students from Woolston School represented us at the Canterbury Zone Athletics Sports. There were over 170 schools represented at the sports event, so it was a big achievement for our students to get this far.
All six students performed superbly, with Mitchell Dehn excelling in high jump and gaining 3rd place for the Canterbury 10 year old boys. Well done team.

Trees Bulldozed!
It looks very bare and boring without the trees. We hope they plant some more to make it look better. |
It is sad that the trees by the new dental clinic got pushed down because they were in the wayfor their new car park.
A man knocked it down with his digger.
I felt sad because the trees were special. It looks bad without the trees.
I hope some trees will get planted so we can see them grow.

It looked much better when the trees were still there!

Hat Parade
The junior school, Team Piwakawaka, had a hat parade on Tuesday, November 9th because it was Cup Day.
Adults go to the races dressed up fancy. Lots of them wear hats.
We made our hats out of paper and cardboard. We got a long strip of cardboard and wrapped it around the person’s head and stapled it. Then we stapled on lots of other brightly coloured paper.
When we had finished decorating our hats we went to the Hat Parade and each class paraded with their hats. It was very fun. We got to take our hats home after school so we could show our parents.
